Touring Shows
Our Stage Productions offers great entertainment and educational programming for a very reasonable price of only $349.00 per performance. Evergreen performs a 50-minute signature show with two professional actors in the school. They include and engage student's grades K-6 and teachers.  All our shows feature original music, curriculum-based scriptwriting, and engaging sets, props, and costumes. Following the show, our Evergreen educators ask for related questions about the performance or the material presented, reinforcing the topics learned in the production.

Evergreen also provides supplemental teaching material and resource links on this website to enhance concepts and topics presented in the show. Evergreen Theatre visits schools throughout Calgary and Edmonton as well as into rural Alberta, Saskatchewan, and B.C.

Edventures in Evergreen

Science Theatre Residencies

Involve your entire school in our weeklong science theatre residencies!  Evergreen science theatre specialists will teach the whole school a full musical mystery science theatre experience in just five days!  Science curriculum links from each grade are used to connect the mystery story together.  Students start with a science workshop, and then go through our “Fact-to-Fiction” process.  Depending on their grade level, they will be learning how to teach a fact through a story, elements of scriptwriting, basic characterization, and/or choreography.

Our programs are eligible for AFA Artists in Education grants. Inquire soon to book your residency!

Our 08/09 K-6 programming offers a residency on wetlands and a residency on flight, with appropriate curriculum links for every grade.

Book “The Silence of the Frogs”, our musical mystery about wetlands!  The frogs have stopped singing in a local wetland, and the Evergreen Science Investigators must figure out why before the last frog croaks!

Or, book our musical mystery about flight and migration,
“International Bird of Mystery”, in which the intrepid Evergreen Science Investigators use their scientific knowledge to help a migrating bird with amnesia find his flock.  Insects, bats, birds, and physics are turned into a fun-filled program.

New for 08/09!

The Evergreen Science Investigators go global with a race against time to save endangered species and spaces in “The Vanishing Act!”  As they travel the world meeting people and animals from different cultures on every continent, the ESI agents discover the importance of biodiversity and what everyone can do to help conserve it!  Social studies joins natural history and conservation topics, all linked to Alberta curriculum.

Please note that any of our K-6 programming can be adjusted to suit your school if you are not K-6.  Or, if you have a topic that you would like to turn into a show, call us to inquire about our custom residencies.

Our schedule fills up quickly so call us today to get a quote for your school.
