After The Boom: Evergreen Community Studios’ Response to the Recession

In the wake of the looming economic recession, Evergreen Community Studios has significantly reduced the hourly rates of renting out their studios.

December 2, 2008 – Calgary, AB – Evergreen Theatre has enjoyed great success since the announcement of its recent management of the Studios at the Community Arts Building on the Currie Barracks. In an effort to establish affordable and centrally located rehearsal space for the Calgary arts community, Evergreen Community Studios has announced that starting January 1st, 2009 Evergreen Theatre Studios will offer lower hourly rates for use of their Red, Yellow and Blue Studios!
 
The Blue studio is 1,120 sq. feet and provides full - length studio mirrors and sprung Marley floors as well as a raked audience area that can accommodate up to fifty people. The Red and Yellow studios are both over 1,020 sq. feet and offer studio mirrors and sprung Marley floors.  These studios are most often used for rehearsals, dance classes, workshops, receptions, auditions, and social functions.
 
Rates now include a Loyalty Discount Program for longer-term arrangements, and the Studios continue to accept applications for In-Kind donations of this valuable studio space to organizations and Individuals who are creating in the Calgary Arts community with little to no budget!
 
Evergreen Theatre also has fully furnished office space for rent, which includes full utilities (including Internet service) to organizations looking to become a part of the exciting community on the Currie Barracks!
