Sean Fraser - Executive Director
Sean has worked in the private corporate sector for over 20 years, largely in the family entertainment and tourism industries, and has a background in technical theatre arts, arts production and business management. Sean has served on not for profit boards for over 10 years and has experience working in property management. Sean became the President of Evergreen Theatre in 2004. He stepped into the role of Executive Director in the summer of 2007 with a passion to take Evergreen to new levels. He is a hardworking, hands-on, fun and driven individual who believes in thinking outside the box, creating fun opportunities, nurturing a collaborative work environment and the growth of individuals.
Valmai Goggin - Artistic Producer
Valmai is a Calgary-based director, instructor, and Maritimer. She holds an MFA Directing from the University of Calgary, and a BA English and Drama from Mount Allison University. She is an active freelance director, and was the 2012-13 RBC Emerging Director for Lunchbox Theatre. She has taught for a range of programs and ages, including Storybook Theatre School, Pumphouse Theatres, South Fish Creek, Neptune Theatre School, the University of Calgary, and Theatre Alberta's Artstrek. She has worked and trained across Canada, enjoying her time in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Nunavut, and now Alberta. A strong believer in arts-based learning and the power of theatre to communicate, challenge, and change, she is delighted to be a part of Evergreen Theatre. Valmai is also Artistic Director for Theatre Transit.
Jacqueline Russell - Director of Creative Development
Jacqueline is a Calgary based director, performer, playwright, producer and theatre educator. A graduate of the Univeristy of Alberta's BFA Acting Program, Jacqueline is passionate about social activism through theatre and creating quality theatre experiences for young people. Jacqueline became the Artistic Producer for Evergreen Theatre in 2008. Over the last ten years she has facilitated educational theatre experiences for children and youth for the Pumphouse Theatre, Island Mountain Arts Academy, Alberta's Future Leaders Program and Trickster Theatre. Jacqueline also has extensive experience working in interpretive theatre, having worked at both Fort Edmonton Park and Barkerville Historic Site as an Interpreter. In addition to her work at Evergreen, Jacqueline is the Artistic Producer for Urban Curvz Theatre and also works as a freelance director and performer.
